To begin with, thank you all for the prayers, thoughts, calls, texts, blog comments and Facebook posts. We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of love. Keep them coming.
It’s been a rollercoaster of a day with good news, not-so-good news and general information. So let’s rejoice and celebrate the good news first.
GOOD NEWS: LJ had a CT scan instead of a MRI in order to check more parts of her body. The CT scan showed that the “mass” has not spread to other regions of her body. Her liver and her lungs are healthy! Whew!
GENERAL INFORMATION: Lucy Jo will have a biopsy tomorrow. We do not have a specific time as they are going to squeeze her in order to get it done tomorrow. We could have preliminary results by Friday. With that said, a full report is expected Monday or Tuesday.
NOT SO GOOD NEWS: The “mass” is large enough that it cannot be removed without shrinking regardless if it’s benign or malignant. So chemotherapy is in my baby girl’s future.
There are still some unknowns right now. Our family is blessed to have so many friends and family spanning multiple states and even countries. We will keep you updated.
This is hard for a Mama to swallow, but I have to focus that this can be fixed. God has a plan for her — a LONG life.
